Identity

For as long as I can remember I have never considered the power of identity and belonging. It’s not until recently I’ve had to consider the displacement of others and how that effects them. As a traditional Walmajarri person of the Kimberley region of Western Australia that’s what I’ve grown up knowing since I can remember. Understanding my own spirituality, my sense of belonging, how I fit into the grand scheme of things. It has instilled in me the power to seek out new experiences out of my safe comfort zone. To converse with others at a personal level and still maintain a spiritual true north that I could dip into when needed, especially on those days when I needed to refocus
